கடைக்கொட்கச் செய்தக்க தாண்மை இடைக்கொட்கின் எற்றா விழுமந் தரும்.

kadaiккоṭkaс̱ сеyttakka tāṇmai idaiккоṭkin eṟṟā viẓumum tarum.

Valor shown at the end of battle is merely endurance; valor that stands firm in the thick of combat grants undying honor.
