ஒளியார்முன் ஒள்ளிய ராதல் வெளியார்முன் வான்சுதை வண்ணம் கொளல்.

oliyār-mun olḷiya rādal veḷiyār-mun vān-sudai vaṇṇam koḷal.

To shine before the wise is to grow brilliant; before the common, to wear the color of the sky—indifferent, remote.
