கற்றாருள் கற்றார் எனப்படுவர் கற்றார்முன் கற்ற செலச்சொல்லு வார்.

Kattār-ul kattār enap-paduvar kattār-mun kattā selach-cholluvār.

Among the learned, the truly learned are those who speak with restraint in the presence of the wise. Wisdom proves itself not in endless speech, but in knowing when to hold the tongue.
