பகைஎன்னும் பண்பி லதனை ஒருவன் நகையேயும் வேண்டற்பாற்று அன்று.

Pagai-ennum panbi-l-athanai oruvan Nagaiyeeyum vendat-paaatru andru.

A man who has removed enmity from his nature—do not even smile at him, expecting his return to friendship. Such reconciliation is not worth the wait.
