குடிப்பிறந்தார் கண்விளங்கும் குற்றம் விசும்பின் மத஧க்கண் மறுப்போல் உயர்ந்து.

Kuḍippiṟandār kaṇviḷangum kuṟṟam visumbin madakkaN maṟuppōl uyarndhu

A fault visible in the eyes of the noble-born stands forth as the moon repels the darkness of the sky. What shames them shines because they will not hide it.
