கொலைமேற்கொண் டாரிற் கொடிதே அலைமேற்கொண்டு அல்லவை செய்தொழுகும் வேந்து.

kolai mēr koṇ ṭāriṛ koṭitē alai mēr koṇ ṭu al lavaiz sēy tolḻu kum vēntu.

A ruler who commits to harsh judgment is tough; far worse is the king who, swept by shifting moods, does what is unjust and calls it law.
