அருளென்னும் அன்பீன் குழவி பொருளென்னும் செல்வச் செவிலியால் உண்டு.

arulennnum anpi:n kuzavi porulennnum selvach seviliya:l undu.

Compassion, the child of love, is nourished by wealth, the nurse who tends it. The merchant of mercy requires material means to sustain his practice.
